You will need to book an appointment to come and visit us at Willow & Sage. This is because our brides are given full exclusive and private use of the boutique for their appointment. We recommend booking your appointment in advance, especially if you require a weekend appointment as these tend to book up quickly.

We recommend starting the search for your gown 12-18 months before the big day, but most importantly when you are ready to say “yes” to the dress!

Please remember that gowns are made to order and take on average 4-6 months for us to receive your gown from the designer. We then need to allow enough time for your accessory appointment, alterations appointments, and final fitting.

*Exceptions apply if purchasing a sample sale gown, subject to availability.

Our sizes range from a UK10 to a UK26 with our average sample gown in the boutique being a UK 12 – 16.

We hold a wide range of sizes and styles, these can be viewed on our website which states the size of each dress we have available to try.

We allow 1.5 hours for your first bridal styling appointment. This will usually allow more than enough time to try on a variety of dresses. If you feel you need to come back and re-try any styles before saying ‘yes’ to your dress, that isn’t a problem we can happily arrange this!

Your accessory appointment once your gown arrives in the boutique will last up to 1 hour, which is plenty of time to try on your gown and decide on any accessories you would like for the big day.

Our gowns start at around £1,000 up to around £3,000, the average dress price being around £1,800.

When we host our sample sale(s) there may be a handful of our ex-sample gowns at a fraction of the price!

We recommend bringing up to 3 guests with you to your appointment. We often find that too many guests and opinions can make the decision a little difficult. Our boutique is also quite small (cosy), and we want you and your bridal party to have the most magical experience with us!

We ask that, where possible, you refrain from bringing small children between the ages of 1 and 10 to your appointments. Ivory dresses and sharp pins do not make for the best environment for small children. We do understand that this is not always possible so please speak to us beforehand.

For your initial bridal styling appointment, you do not need to bring anything with you! You might like to bring a nude coloured strapless bra, however the majority of our brides feel more than comfortable with the built in bust cups in the majority of our gowns.

For your alterations appointment you will need to bring your wedding shoes with you for your seamstress to alter your gown to the correct length.

All that we do ask is PLEASE do not wear fake tan to your appointment, it transfers onto our sample gowns and is extremely difficult to remove.

We require a 50% deposit payment when ordering your wedding dress, with the balance due when your dress arrives in the boutique. Your dress cannot be ordered without the 50% deposit payment being made. If you choose to purchase one of our sample sale gowns, these are required to be paid in full before you take them away.

All of our gowns require measurements to be taken so that we can order the closest most appropriate size for you. However, alterations will be required as your dress is not made to exact measurements. We have a handful of independent seamstresses who we recommend, who can carry out your fitting appointment at the boutique or elsewhere (subject to availability). Your alterations are a separate charge and will be payable direct to your seamstress.

You are under no obligation whatsoever to use our recommended seamstress and are free to have your dress altered anywhere you choose.
